Woke up!
Almost everyone in the room had an alarm at 6:30am, and they all went off at the same time.
Got dressed, packed, went downstairs and had breakfast at 7am. Toast with jam, oats, cereal, and a banana.
Then we got ready to leave. It was raining.
Got on the road with Josefine. Halfway down the street I remembered I left my poles. I ran back and got them, and we continued on.
The first half of the trail was through the woods which was really nice compared to walking on the street.
It cleared up after about 2 hours.
We continued on, walking through towns and across bridges.
Met a German girl named Julia on the trail, and then stopped to take our socks off and let our wet shoes and feet dry.
We played 500, and split a chocolate pastry.
Got back on the road an hour later.
Arrived into Muros de Nalón at 1:30pm.
Josefine went to her Albergue, I’m continuing on a little past town to find a place to camp off the trail. Might be illegal so I have to kill time until dusk to scout a place to pitch.
So I went to the beach.
Jumped in, took a nap, and did some planning.
I went into the beach bar to charge my phone for a while. Then headed back up inland to look for a good spot to camp.
Got up on a hill and found a dirt road with a cool hidden level spot. Pitched up here. Even has an ocean view. Through the trees at least.
Sat around until the sun started to set to pitch up.
Set up the tent. Was my first time seeing this thing and it’s pretty damn spacious.
It’s 9pm, I’m going to crawl in my sleeping bag and go to sleep.
Getting up at 6am.
See y’all then,
David
