Goodmorning!

Last nights sleep was wonderful.

I woke up at 6 and I could hear it was raining.

It was so peaceful, but then I thought about the fact that if I went out now I’d have to take down the tent in the rain so I went back to sleep.

Woke up again at 8:30am. Stopped raining and it was beautiful outside. I packed up my stuff, and got on the road at 9am.

Today’s walk was gorgeous. But I didn’t have any water and wasn’t finding any water fountains.

A couple towns later I found a fountain and a bench, and sat to make a sandwich.

Breakfast.
Breakfast.

Then Josefine and Lucy from Germany caught up and sat to eat with me.

I ate, and Lucy pulled out some teeth and toothbrush gummy candy that was super weird textured.

We continued on, up and down a lot of hills, arriving to Soto de Luiña at 2pm.

We went to a bakery, got some cookies and a chorizo pastry, and went to the Dia to get groceries.

Then we all sat in a circle on the ground and ate.

After, we parted ways and went to our albergues. I heard that the one in town doesnt have a receptionist until 5pm so I snuck in and took a shower and charged my phone.

I got back on the road at 4:20pm, to walk further to find a place to camp. Noa sent me a picture of a cool spot from ahead the trail so I’ll go look for that

Along the path I met Marta, from Poland. She’s been living in Barcelona for 10 months doing an intensive tap dancing class. Crazy.

We walked for a while and then I found my camping spot.

Super open. I layed my stuff down and pulled out the tent. I wanted to let it dry because it was still wet from last night.

I layed down and ate a premade tortilla de patata I got at the market for 3 euro. With my spork that snapped in half.

Fine dining.

Then I got situated and laid down.

Even found a great use for the hook in my tent.

I’m going crazy.

As I was winding down, I heard some kids come running down the path and stumbled across my tent. I was inside. Could only hear what they were saying, not what they were doing. They were pondering it, then I watched one of them grab the corner and lift it up and I yelled and they ran away. Hahaha. They better not come back.

Anyways, going to sleep early tonight. Shouldn’t be raining so tomorrow I’ll have a slow morning and get on the road. I have an Albergue reserved along with some other people for tomorrow night. I can do laundry and shower again. Should be awesome.

See y’all then,

David
