Goodmorning.

I got out of bed at 7:50am.

Packed up and left. I have crazy bed head. The worst I’ve seen it in a long time.

Must’ve slept very good last night lmao.

This mornings walk was very cold. And there were more people on the trail than yesterday. It’s becoming really crowded.

But I did eat the rest of my tortilla this morning.

And today the trail also merges back with the Camino Francés, the trail I initially was on.

So there’s going to be a lot of traffic.

I walked on, stopping at some small cafes to get stamps but no food or drink.

But I did hit a small town where I got a baguette, a kiwi, and stashed my pak pouch with granola bars.

Continued on.

I am walking to O Pedrouzo, and there is an option to take a different route that doesn’t connect with the Francés.

I chose that.

I have been enjoying my alone time for the past 4 days after leaving my squad in Ribadeo that I am not exactly ready for the crowd yet.

But the route was beautiful.

Throughout this trip I’ve learned 3 things about myself.

I love clouds, windmills, and doing laundry.

And the clouds were lovely today.

I also came across a house and the man yelled at me to come back and take some peaches off his tree.

I said thank you and took two.

Although they were a little underripe I still ate them both. God bless that old man.

I continued on.

The terrain is pretty smooth now, and since it was a shorter day today compared to the 50km I’ve been doing I arrived early. At 4pm.

Checked in, and made a sandwich. I used a tomato I found in my backpack and it made it 10000x better. I should’ve been doing that the whole Camino.

I then showered and did laundry and layed down to do some more work on my phone while I elevated my feet. My 2nd toe on my right foot is very big. I don’t think it’s broken but something’s off with it today.

At 8pm I went to the grocery store and got some more food for tonight and tomorrow.

Went back, and made yet another sandwich. This time I put guacamole on it with ham. So good.

I also got a protein pudding. It tasted like those snack pack things. Not the best consistency though.

I went back inside and layed down and did more work on my phone.

This town is packed full of pilgrims. Almost all of them are from Spain though.

Even one of them had a birthday party tonight in the albergue. It’s crazy.

Now it’s midnight and I’m sleeping next to two snorers.

I realized I didn’t come across any snorers on the Norte. It’s definitely a Francés thing.

Tomorrow I arrive to Santiago de Compostela.

Feels unreal.

So close to the end.

Gonna get up early to walk with the sunrise and beat the tourist crowds.

See yall then,

David
