Today we woke up at 7:30am.

We are walking to Logroño today, only 10km.

About 2.5 hours.

We packed up and got on the road.

The trek was very chill. Sun was out, and Max was picking up left behind goodies like Ben’s clothes at the albergue (which he thought he left behind but was actually leaving to donate) and some shoes on the side of the trail he thought might’ve fallen off someone’s backpack (we never found a guy).

Later, we stopped and ate some snacks at a random bench.

Vibes were high and Max was also shoving random twigs and stuff into Céline’s backpack without her noticing.

We got into Logroño by 10:15am. Real short day. We stopped at the information center for a quick breather, a stamp, and some free candy they had.

We walked around, got fruit, and kebabs.

And those kebabs were the best kebabs I’ve ever had. Best meal of the journey so far.

We got to the Albergue, set up our beds, and got out of there asap. Max and I went to Calle Loreal to get a drink and ran into another girl on the Camino. We went with her to get a glass of wine, then split up and max and I continued around town.

Then we were on our way to the park to meet Céline and Josefine and we came across a candy store.

I ran in a got a pez.

A bugs bunny pez.

Best purchase of the trip so far.

We went to the park and hung out for a while, layed in the grass.

Then we went back to the Albergue, got cards, and went out to the Irish pub in town.

Josefine and I also came across a Buga Ramen with a super cool interior. It was all anime and cartoons.

Max and I got Guinnesses, I tried to split the G, and went too low.

We stayed there for hours, until 9:30. Playing cards and talking about life.

Today was when Céline ended her Camino and Josefine takes a bus to Bilbao to walk the Camino del Norte.

So we really enjoyed our last day altogether.

I also learned how to play 500 and Presidents and Assholes. Both very fun games, 500 is very similar to Gin Rummy.

After the drinks and the card games, we went to go get ice cream down the street. I got a cone with turron and bonbon ice cream. It was so good.

We went back to the albergue and ate our ice cream in the courtyard until we got kicked out.

We had to go upstairs and then we got ready for bed.

I then ran into two Americans, one from Texas and the other from Tennessee, when I was getting ready for bed.

I love meeting people from around the world but it’s so great meeting other Americans because they understand American humor.

So it is always fun cracking a joke knowing they’ll understand it.

Anyways, they said they were getting up around 7am to walk the 30km tomorrow.

Outrageous. Way too late

Max and I are getting up at 5am to leave at 5:30 tomorrow. It’s supposed to be hot, and the 30km will take about 7-8hours.

So it’s 11pm and we are going to sleep.

Goodnight fam.

Go tell someone you love them.

Until tomorrow.

See y’all then,

David.
